Home to two luxury campsites; Hardwick Park and Lincoln Park Farm, with good public transport routes from the village to surrounding areas and tourist landmark sites.
In the summer months The Black Horse becomes a holiday makers paradise. Beautiful countryside walks through farmers tall crop fields or alongside the River Windrush, which is a tributary to the Medley Brook.
If you are feeling a little more adventurous there is plenty to do! Standlake Equestrian Centre gives locals and tourists the opportunity to get into the saddle, or if water is more of your thing, Standlake is situated alongside many carp fishing lakes, water skiing lakes and at Hardwick Park even Ringo rides. There really is something for everyone.
After working up an appetite, throughout the summer months, The Black Horse is a welcome mirage. With a south facing garden an ice cold Asahi accompanies with a refreshing lobster and salad on the pergola, while the children play hide and seek in the garden.
